The HSE National Screening Service are running a series of four webinars presenting research that will contribute to us achieving the elimination of cervical cancer in Ireland. The details are below and more information is also available on the flyer below.

We’re launching a free 4-part research webinar series to support Ireland’s work towards eliminating cervical cancer.

Each one-hour webinar will include:

  • two research presentations
  • live discussion and Q&A with presenters and fellow attendees.

Webinar programme
Each webinar will take place from 12pm to 1pm on MS Teams.

  • Wednesday 23 September 2026: Using behavioural science to understand screening and vaccination decisions
  • Wednesday 7 October 2026: Equity, inclusion and access
  • Wednesday 21 October 2026: Healthcare professionals: innovation in screening and vaccination
  • Wednesday 28 October 2026: Using data to support elimination

Let’s Talk About Menopause and Cancer HSE NCCP Webinar

The National Cancer Control Programme (NCCP) is pleased to invite healthcare professionals to attend “Let’s Talk About Menopause and Cancer”, a national webinar focused on improving awareness, knowledge, and support for women experiencing menopause in the context of a cancer diagnosis and treatment. Event Description
This webinar marks the launch of three new NCCP resources:

  • A Patient Information Leaflet
  • A Patient Information Booklet
  • A Guide for Healthcare Professionals

Attendees will hear from clinical experts and individuals with lived experience who will discuss the impact of menopause following a cancer diagnosis, current treatment options, referral pathways to specialist services, and available supports.

Who should attend?
This webinar is intended for healthcare professionals involved in the care of people affected by cancer, including nurses, doctors, allied health professionals, menopause specialists, oncology teams, primary care professionals, and others with an interest in survivorship and supportive cancer care.

Learning outcomes
By attending this webinar, participants will:

  • Increase their understanding of cancer-related menopause and its impact on patients.
  • Gain insight into hormonal and non-hormonal management options.
  • Learn about specialist menopause services and referral pathways.
  • Become familiar with the new NCCP menopause and cancer resources.
  • Enhance their ability to support and signpost women, experiencing menopause, to services during and after cancer treatment.
