Minister for Public Health, Wellbeing and the National Drugs Strategy Jennifer Murnane O’Connor has announced the winners of the fifth annual Get SunSmart! Children’s Art Competition.
The competition, which received over 3,000 entries, was run in partnership with Healthy Ireland and the National Cancer Control Programme in the HSE, as part of the annual SunSmart campaign which aims to raise awareness and adoption of skin protective behaviours. Depending on their age category, children were asked to either colour-in the SunSmart pictures or draw their own SunSmart Superhero Squad!
The winners for 2026 are:
- Preschool: Frances Jean Dalisay Sulangi, Cork City, Co. Cork
- Junior Infants – First Class: Amelia Barry, Baldoyle, Dublin 13
- Second to Fourth Class: Raheem Amir, St. Brendan’s National School, Cartron Point, Sligo
- Fifth to Sixth Class: Olivia Tong, Athlone, Co. Westmeath
