Reduce Cancer Risk E-learning programme, ICGP for 2 external CME points and 0.5-day GMS leave
Not all cancers can be prevented, but action can be taken to reduce risk. Even after a cancer diagnosis, these steps can be taken if a person can.
The ‘Reducing Cancer Risk’ e-learning programme is available on www.hseland.ie. The programme aims to develop knowledge and understanding of modifiable risks for cancer. The 11 modules available on www.hseland.ie cover the following topics – smoking, tobacco, body weight, vaccinations, alcohol, skin protection, radon, cancer screening, eating for health, breastfeeding, oral contraceptive pill & HRT, physical activity and workplace carcinogens.
Modules take between 10 – 15 minutes to complete. Learners can dip in and out of the programme at any time and pick which modules they want to complete. Find it by searching for ‘reducing cancer risk’ in the search box on www.hseland.ie
