Public Consultation on new National Obesity Strategy in Ireland
The Department of Health have published a Public Consultation on a new National Obesity Strategy in Ireland. This consultation provides an opportunity to feed into the development of a new obesity strategy that is being developed by the Department. The new National Obesity Strategy will enable healthier living and improve supports to prevent and treat overweight and obesity. The new strategy will build on the previous Obesity Policy and Action Plan.

Minister of State Ms Jennifer Murnane O’Connor TD, with special responsibility for Public Health, Wellbeing and the National Drugs Strategy has launched an online public consultation seeking the views and opinions of the public and industry on a proposed ban on commercial sunbed use.
