SunSmart for Outdoor Workers Webinar
The HSE’s National Cancer Control Programme (NCCP) are hosting this free public webinar to increase awareness of how to be SunSmart on Tuesday 28th of April from 12pm.
The webinar will highlight the importance of UV protection in the workplace for outdoor worker organisations.
Presentations will include:
- Driving for work: Sun safety guidance by Dr Roisin Rynne, Dermatology Registrar at Tallaght University Hospital
- Sun safety awareness project on lifeguards in Galway by Dr Melissa Canny, Consultant in Public Health Medicine, HSE West.
- Case studies on sun protection for outdoor workers from Sinead Gaines, EHS Regional Manager, PJ Hegarty
- Overview of SunSmart for outdoor worker resources from Dr Barbara McGrogan

The Marie Keating Foundation evaluated Schools Programme creates awareness amongst secondary school students around how to prevent cancer and know what symptoms to look out for without fear.
